Boeing-Stearman PT-17

Information
The Boeing-Stearman PT-17 is an iconic training biplane from the 1930s and 1940s, widely used by the US Army Air Forces and the US Navy for the initial training of military pilots. Designed by the Stearman Aircraft Company and produced after its acquisition by Boeing, it is renowned for its robustness, in-flight stability, and ability to introduce students to both basic maneuvers and aerobatics. Equipped with two open cockpits in tandem, it provided both the instructor and the student with excellent visibility, while being demanding enough to develop strong piloting skills. Recognizable by its striking blue and yellow livery, it remains today a powerful symbol of training aviation and a regular guest at airshows.
