Gatineau celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force with the Snowbirds and Thunderbirds!
The next edition of Aero Gatineau-Ottawa set to take place September 6 to 8, 2024
Gatineau-Ottawa, December 5, 2024 – It’s official! From September 6 to 8, 2024, all eyes will turn to the skies as the largest air show in the history of Canada’s Capital Region, Aero Gatineau-Ottawa, celebrates its 7th edition and the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force with three days of high-speed performances, aerobatic demonstrations and flyovers by historic military aircraft.
While the Snowbirds and the CF-18 demonstration team will proudly represent Canada, the US Air Force’s elite Thunderbirds will fly our southern neighbours’ colours.
Visitors from all over Canada and abroad will converge on the Gatineau Airport to meet the teams and pilots, and visit the aircraft on display on the ground, including those from Vintage Wings of Canada and the Michael U. Potter Collection.
“On this exceptional occasion marking the centenary of the Royal Canadian Air Force, we are honoured to welcome the Snowbirds, the CF-18 Demo team and the Thunderbirds. This will be much more than a show; it will be a great tribute to aviation history,” says John Bennett, President of Aero Gatineau-Ottawa. “The flight of these emblematic squadrons over the Gatineau Airport will be the culmination of a remarkable collaboration between our volunteers and partners. From September 6 to 8, 2024, join us as we write a memorable chapter, celebrating the bravery of the past and the daring of the future.”
The full program will be unveiled in the Spring, but it’s already shaping up to be a must-see event! Sign up for the airshow newsletter to receive details on ticket sales.
